Goodfood.ie was set up as part of the Euro-Toques Small Food Initiative which aims to bring Chefs/ Restaurateurs together with Small Food Producers from the border and cross border to encourage local sourcing of quality food.

As the site develops we hope it will expand and serve as an aid to sourcing quality food produce from across the island of Ireland and we welcome inquires from all producers.

As the Irish branch of the European Community of Chefs, Euro-Toques Ireland aspire to the Euro-Toques quest which ' is to protect and pass onto future generations a respect for culinary traditions and best principles of cooking; and to work with and lobby on behalf of quality producers, to ensure that foods with real flavour, texture and taste are available now and in the future for our chefs, customers and children'. In doing so the organisation aims to protect the fine quality and flavour of food while supporting producers of the best foods, thus Euro-Toques Ireland believe the Small Food Initiative is an ideal project to be involved in running.

The project is funded by the Irish Central Border Area Interreg IIIA Partnership (ICBAN) through the EU INTERREG IIIA Ireland/ Northern Ireland Programme.
